He was no more serious than the vendor in Egypt who told me he was giving me a big discount because I looked Egyptian - with my white, pasty face.

And we all knew he was playing with us.BrianMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18125662305006040149noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4000835230759034012.post-27933939972033769292012-03-19T08:29:25.262-07:002012-03-19T08:29:25.262-07:00Fascinating. I over-think the whole thing. Donna tells me you're the same. This would have been quite stressful for me.

You know, the whole thing with the purchasing of women with camels is kind of funny but still disturbing. I can laugh on the surface but deep down... not so much. In many parts of the world women are still viewed as property to be bought and sold and that just isn't a laughing matter.

Not that Western society has it right either. Here, women just tend to market and sell themselves rather than having a man do it for them. Deep down they still view themselves as a thing, a commodity, a "perfect package" or "damaged goods."Michellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12693795343641111526noreply@blogger.com
